Ponte Vedra, FL- July 29, 2002.

1CTI, developers of Windows 2000 and the world's market leading Linux Technology based voice processing systems, announces the integration of its CommLink® unified communications tool with the popular Microsoft OutlookŪ software application. The CommLink®/Outlook integration's user benefits include:

  • Receive and play voice mail from the Outlook Inbox
  • Forward voice mail as an email attachment
  • Manage incoming calls and the voice mailbox from Outlook
1CTI's advanced voice-processing systems and unified communications platforms target the small to mid-sized business with value pricing and intuitive operation. "We are dedicated to providing today's small and mid-sized businesses, even with limited resources, the technology they need to maintain a competitive foothold. Communications are integral to a company's success and we want small businesses to be able to afford and leverage computer telephony integration technology (CTI) to their advantage," stated Ed Doyle, 1CTI's CEO.

Whereas most unified communications solutions require Microsoft Exchange Server on the network, the CommLink® application works on most existing network environments- either with or without an Exchange Server. This is especially appealing to the smaller business that may not have Exchange Server on its network.

CommLink® integrates both voice mail and email into the client's Microsoft Outlook Inbox for efficient, easy view, single point message management. CommLink® clients can forward voice mail messages as an email attachment to any email address or distribution list of email addresses.

CommLink's® screen pop Call Manager displays captured caller ID* and announces the caller through the pc's speakers. Clients can point and click to accept the call, send it to voice mail or transfer it to another extension on the system. The Call Manager maintains a two-day record of all incoming calls to the user's extension, even when the client's pc is disconnected from the network or powered down, and whether or not the caller left a voice message. The Call Manager's has a one-touch Reply button that connects the CommLink® client's telephone to the caller from the pc.

1CTI's CommLink® enables each mailbox user to manage total voice mailbox functionality from Outlook by using an easy to grasp graphical user interface. Clients can take advantage of many of the advanced voice messaging system features with the GUI's intuitive simplicity. The CommLink® Scheduler desktop feature enables each user to setup personal greeting schedules, forwarding of calls and notification of new messages according to their office and travel schedule and is regulated by the clock on the pc.

CommLink® brings CTI technology to even the smallest office. It is the most robust desktop unified communications solution at very affordable pricing.
