Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

PONTE VEDRA, Fla.-Oct. 7, 2004--1CTI is in development porting its successful LINUX technology based VOIP - Voice over Internet Protocol - and  unified messaging applications to integrate with IP Communications protocols. 1CTI's new module embraces the Sessions Initialization Protocol (SIP) to work with offerings from SIP based and SIP enabled IP-PBX switch vendors.

Targeted at Next Generation Soft Switch vendors, 1CTI's SIP development provides advanced voice messaging and auto attendant features that customers have come to expect with their business communications. In addition, 1CTI's CommLink® UM application provides field proven and commanding unified messaging as a proprietary desktop client app or as seamless integration to the popular Microsoft® Outlook® suite. CommLink® enhances the client business communications with its distinctive and user intuitive, full mailbox and call routing control from the desktop GUI. The CommLink® Outlook integration brings client's voice mail into the inbox for productive message management, including forwarding voice mail as an email attachment to any email address. CommLink® creates an add-in toolbar to the Outlook window for efficient point-and-click mailbox and voice messaging controls

The new software only based product operates under the Linux OS in the same, shared host as the IP communications server and can be shipped with soft switch vendor's products without the need for additional voice board hardware.

In addition to making the new SIP product available to OEM soft switch vendors, it will also be made available as a stand-alone product. SIP system integrators can use this product to provide robust and well-tested unified messaging functionalities to their existing solutions. The company expects to be in production and available to SIP system integrators within the first quarter of 2005. 1CTI welcomes interested IP Communications soft switch vendors to contact them to gain early access to the new product for interoperability testing.
